A Bookkeeper will process the day to day transactions of a business in accordance with accounting regulations.
An Accountant will use that information to produce internal management accounts, external financial accounts for filing, tax returns, analysis, forecasts and any other reports that help with making business decisions, for example, profitability by product/customer.
Some of the benefits are;
No, you can change your accountant at any time in the year. It used to be very difficult to change your accountant part way through a financial year but improvements in technology mean that is no longer the case.
The internet has made the world a much smaller place. With modern accounting systems, there is rarely a need to meet more than a few times a year, depending on the level of service you require.
Different clients have different needs so we can plan our meetings to your comfort level using a mixture of face to face, telephone and video calls.
With each client having unique existing skill sets and therefore needing different levels of support, it's unfair to charge everybody the same price for a piece of work that could vary in the amount of time and effort required to complete it.
For example, one self employed individual may have all their income and outgoings neatly organised and recorded in a spreadsheet and another self employed individual may have a carrier bag of crumpled up receipts. It will be much quicker to prepare and file one tax return that the other!
